Bhubaneswar: Former Minister and Ex MP A U Singh Deo has said in political life there is no space for ‘Arrogance’, and ‘Humility’ is the Trump Card.
Shri Singh Deo was speaking in the launching ceremony of a book on Maharaja Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo ‘A man among princess’ at Jayadev Bhawan here on 31 March 2023, Friday.
The book launch event was attended by many eminent personalities from across the state of Odisha.
Shri Singh Deo, who is the caring son of the illustrious father R N Singh Deo in his address said that, “I have learned humility from him. He was a very gentle and humble person. He loved children very much.”
“One thing distinguishes him from others is that he never gets angry with anyone. Not even in his political career. During his Chief Minister tenure, he was not angry with those who accused him,” Shri Singh Deo said.
When asked about his coolness in turmoil and tough time, R N Singhdeo said that during his childhood, he was angry and one day he took up a resolution that he will not get angry in any situation.
It was a ‘Sadhana’ and he religiously adopted it during his entire life span and always treated people with great humility, said his obedient son, Shri Singh Deo.
Shri Singh Deo, who has worked closely with Legendary Leader Biju Patnaik also said that he has learnt a lesson or two for Senior Patnaik.
When Biju Babu lost all the six elections at a row, he went to meet his leader and found to his shock that ‘Business was as usual’ for Biju Babu.
When asked the legendary leader said he learnt it from President Sukarno, who pointed out that in politics there is no question of ‘Win’ and ‘Defeat’.
Both ‘Win and Defeat’ is a process and nobody loses or wins. After the Mantra from Sukarno, he is not bothered about win or loss.
Shri Singh Deo said Biju Babu has taught his a lot of lessons and one of it is to be level headed in politics. His Mantra on Politics is needed much in now a days politics.
Shri Singh Deo effectively presented the political message among the people those who matters and that arrogance has no place in Politics.
