Baripada: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Revenue & Disaster Management and Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Satyabrata Sahu made a visit to Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday. He harped on timely completion of projects under 5T Charter.
He held a review meeting with both forest and revenue department officials. The block-level officials of different blocks also joined the meeting through videoconferencing mode. District Collector Vineet Bhardwaj and other senior officials were present.
During the meeting, ACS Shri Sahu emphasized upon quick allocation of land to developmental projects by following all norms and protection of revenue forests in the district.
As Mayurbhanj district has a lot of forest area, he directed the Forest officials to ensure full protection of the forests with active involvement of local communities and people. He also instructed the officials to take steps to control forest fire incidents.
He also instructed the officials to take steps for convergence of departments for proper utilization of CAMPA funds.
Earlier Shri Sahu visited Balasore district and took stock of development projects, said sources. He regularly move across the State for monitoring the development programs under 5T Charter, being implemented by the Departments.
Notably, recently, the State Government decided that all Additional Chief Secretaries (ACSs), Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of different departments will make extensive field visits and night stays in remote and rural areas during third week of every month for effective monitoring and review of the programmes, schemes, and delivery of critical public services.
