New York: Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), launched a global curtain raiser for the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo (BRESE) 2026 at Climate Week NYC on September 23, 2026. The event showcased the progress of the Indian renewable energy sector to an international audience, highlighting the rapid growth of the nation’s energy transition and the various investment opportunities available to global stakeholders.
The conversations in New York, presided over by Shri Santosh Sarangi, focused on framing BRESE 2026 as an international platform for clean energy financing, cross-border technology partnerships, and large-scale project investment. By bringing together domestic developments and international capital, the summit aims to accelerate the adoption of clean technologies and strengthen global supply chains.
BRESE 2026 is scheduled to take place alongside the International Solar Alliance (ISA) General Assembly and the International Conference on Green Hydrogen. This joint platform will convene governments, international financial institutions, clean-tech developers, and global industry representatives. Key focus areas of the summit will include solar power, green hydrogen, battery energy storage systems, modern electrical grids, clean energy manufacturing, and other emerging decarbonization technologies.
