Abu Dhabi: In a big push to expand Odisha’s global economic presence, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi held high-level discussions with Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Cabinet Member, Minister of Economy and Tourism, UAE, and Chairman of the Council of International Investments.
Minister Industries Shri Sampad Swain, Chief Secretary Shrimati Anu Garg and ACS Home, Industries and I&PR Shri Hemant Sharma graced the occasion.
The bilateral engagement focused on deepening commercial ties and exploring multi-sectoral investment channels between Odisha and the United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister showcased Odisha’s rapidly evolving industrial landscape, robust infrastructure, rich natural resources, and supportive policy framework designed to ensure ease of doing business.

Emphasizing the state’s readiness to accommodate large-scale foreign capital, Chief Minister Shri Majhi extended a warm invitation to UAE-based sovereign funds and corporate investors to leverage opportunities across key target sectors, including manufacturing, energy, petrochemicals, and infrastructure.
The state’s strategic investment outreach is being closely coordinated by Shri Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary for Home, Industries, and Information & Public Relations. His dedicated administrative efforts behind the delegation’s roadmap are yielding positive results, facilitating direct high-level connections with major Gulf investors and framing outcome-oriented growth strategies for Odisha.
The UAE leadership expressed strong interest in Odisha’s growth trajectory, paving the way for joint ventures, industrial collaborations, and accelerated foreign direct investment into the state in the coming years.
