Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission has officially initiated the process for new recruitment to constable-level posts across the Odisha Police and other State Departments.
Shri Rashmi Ranjan Swain is first Chairman, OUSSSC. Shri Swain is a retired IPS officer of the 1991 batch.
According to an official press note released by the Commission on September 5, 2026, a detailed advertisement outlining vacancy numbers, eligibility criteria, and selection guidelines will be issued shortly.
The commission also confirmed that preparations are moving forward on a priority basis to expedite the Combined Police Services Examination (CPSE) 2024, for which applications have already been received.
Addressing ongoing interest and anxiety among candidates, the authority reiterated its commitment to conducting the examination process smoothly, fairly, transparently, and securely in line with prescribed rules.
Applicants for CPSE-2024 are advised to continue their preparations as the commission completes the remaining groundwork to advance both recruitment drives.
