Odisha At IECE 2026

New Delhi: The 7th CII International Energy Conference & Exhibition (IECE 2026) concluded in New Delhi, featuring high-level discussions among global delegates, industry leaders, energy experts, and policymakers representing over 20 countries.

Centered on the theme Engage, Energize, Power, the global platform highlighted a shared vision to build a sustainable, resilient, and future-ready energy ecosystem.

Representing Odisha, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo led key discussions on behalf of the state, underscoring Odisha’s dedication to accelerating innovation, fortifying energy resilience, and supporting India’s overall momentum in the global clean energy transition. Additional Chief Secretary for Energy and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, also attended the summit to support the state delegation.

A primary highlight of the summit was a bilateral meeting between Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo and the Minister of Energy from the Government of Sri Lanka, Hon. Anura Karunathilake. Their dialogue focused on expanding regional cooperation and promoting sustainable energy initiatives.

The meeting also included deliberations with the Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Rakesh Shukla. Leaders exchanged strategic insights to enhance inter-state collaboration and drive joint efforts toward regional energy transition goals.

Through active participation at IECE 2026, Odisha reaffirmed its commitment to advancing clean energy partnerships, strengthening infrastructure resilience, and contributing meaningfully to sustainable development initiatives across the region.
