New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a high-level meeting with Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, to review and expedite major railway infrastructure projects across the state.
The discussion focused heavily on accelerating ongoing railway line expansions, enhancing regional freight corridors, and boosting last-mile industrial connectivity to spur economic expansion.
Chief Minister Shri Majhi highlighted that improving rail networks across mining hubs and tribal belts remains a top priority for the state government to unlock new trade avenues and job opportunities.
The Union Ministry of Railways has maintained a strong focus on Odisha’s transportation needs. Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw has consistently shown marked generosity toward the state’s rail development, allocating substantial budgetary support and sanctioning major new rail corridors, station redevelopment projects under the Amrit Bharat Scheme, and high-density connectivity routes.
With the central government’s continued support and active monitoring of pending railway projects, state officials expressed confidence that Odisha is steadily advancing toward seamless connectivity and robust economic prosperity.
