Bhubaneswar: The Agricultural Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited, operating under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, organized the State Level Bankers Meet 2026 at the Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar. The high-level gathering focused on accelerating institutional credit flow to agriculture entrepreneurs across the state.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Addressing the assembly, Shri K V Singh Deo highlighted the Government of Odisha’s strong commitment to transforming agriculture into a vibrant, profitable enterprise. He emphasized the critical responsibility of financial institutions in building a resilient agribusiness ecosystem through timely credit delivery. Deputy Chief Minister Shri K V Singh Deo commended APICOL for driving agribusiness growth among rural youth, women, and Farmer Producer Organizations under the Mukhyamantri Krushi Udyog Yojana, noting that the state has allocated 2,496.40 crore rupees to APICOL over the next five years to support these initiatives.
Shri Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment, was among the distinguished dignitaries leading the proceedings alongside directors, bank officials, and state representatives. Under the guidance of Shri Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, the conference facilitated key discussions on streamlining bank financing processes, improving coordination between financial institutions and implementing agencies, and expanding credit linkages for rural enterprise development.
The event brought together officials from NABARD, the Reserve Bank of India, the State Level Bankers Committee, Lead District Managers from all districts of Odisha, and representatives of major public and private banks. Exceptional performing banks and officials were felicitated in various categories, reinforcing a collaborative framework among APICOL, government leadership, and banking institutions to empower state agri-preneurs.
