OSCPCR Honors Mohapatra

Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) has honored Veteran Journalist Gopal Krushna Mohapatra for his outstanding contribution to Odisha.

Mr.Mohapatra, Group Editor, The Prameya, largest circulated vernacular daily was honored as OSCPCR celebrated its 10th Foundation Day with theme “Ensuring Care & Protection of Children during amid COVID-19 Pandemic”on 1 November.Sandhyabati Pradhan, Chairperson, OSCPCR chaired the Ceremony held in the OSCPCR Campus here.
As Chief Guest, TukuniSahu, Minister, Women & Child Development & Mission Shakti, as Chief Speaker, Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Development Commissioner addressed the meeting.

Distinguished Guest were Samir Ranjan Dash, Minister, School and Mass Education. Satyajit Mohanty, Director General,  Fire Service, Monika O Nielsen, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF, Bhubaneswar,  SulataDeo, Advisor, WCD Dept., Minati Behera , Chairperson, Women Commission Odisha, Sulachana Das, Commissioner, Disability commission spoke about different aspects of Child Rights and protection of children during the pandemic time.
Three reports, Study on the Impact of Covid-19 on Children’s Learning and Child Protection Mechanism in Odisha, Status of Street Children in Urban Areas of Odisha During COVID 19 Scenario and  Towards Ensuring Care & Protection of Children – OSCPCR 2020 were released.

The Felicitations were conferred to the eminent personalities for the Outstanding Contribution in Odisha , Arup Pattanaik, Convener, Mo Parivaar, Gopalkrushna Mohapatra, Group Editor, The Prameya Group, Sabyasachi Mishra, Odia Film Actor, Madhusudan Mishra, Collector, Koraput(APARAJITA Campaign), Tapan Kumar Pattanaik, SP, Gajapati(Child friendly Police), Mamatamayee Biswal, DCPO, Mayurbhanj, Child Welfare Committee, Sambalpur, Adruta Children’s Home for Girls, Bhubaneswar, Sushama Mohapatra, CMPO & CDPO Koraput Sadar Block and  3 Child Champions from each District of Odisha At district level selected children were felicitated for their remarkable activities during COVID-19 situation.
