Suakati GP Won Jury Award

New Delhi: Suakati Gram Panchayat, Keonjhar District, Odisha, won the Jury Award at the National e-Governance Awards 2025 for Pioneering Digital Service Delivery.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) organized a Regional Workshop titled “Seva Se Samriddhi: Panchayat-led Service Delivery” in Guwahati, Assam, where the GP has been honoured.

They were recognized for digitizing essential services through the OdishaOne and Seva Odisha platforms. Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Shri Sushil Kumar Lohani (a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Odisha Cadre who previously served as Principal Secretary of Panchayati Raj and as one of the longest-serving District Magistrates of Keonjhar), expressed great happiness over this success.

This district holds further significance as Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi also hails from Keonjhar District.

Shivareddygudem Gram Panchayat, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District, Telangana, was celebrated as a top-performing model of transparent, citizen-centric, and technology-enabled grassroots governance.

Four Champion Village Level Entrepreneurs were felicitated for their exemplary contributions to digital service delivery at the village level: Smt. Girija Nath (Assam), Smt. Sumitra Das (Odisha), Shri Amandeep Singh (Punjab), and Smt. Surta Devi Saini (Rajasthan).

A panel discussion titled “From Policy to People: Translating Governance into Action” brought together representatives from major state service delivery platforms, including e-Mitra (Rajasthan), e-Sewa (Punjab), Lok Seva Guarantee Portal (Madhya Pradesh), Panchayat Secretariat (Andhra Pradesh), Mee Seva (Telangana), and OdishaOne (Odisha). The session was moderated by Smt. Keerthi Jalli, Commissioner, Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of Assam.

Dr. Siddhartha Singha, Assistant Professor at IIT Guwahati, delivered a technical session on “Technology-enabled Panchayati Raj and Service Delivery.”

Shri Amitabh Nag, CEO of BHASHINI, delivered a technical session titled “Language as Infrastructure: Reimagining Last-mile Governance through BHASHINI,” showcasing how multilingual digital infrastructure can make governance truly inclusive.
