Bhubaneswar: The upscale hospitality landscape of Odisha has received a significant addition with the official launch of the Prachi Sarovar Premiere hotel in Bhubaneswar. The premium property represents a major collaboration between national hotel management company Sarovar Hotels and local hospitality pioneer Prachi Resorts, marking the expansion of their partnership into the upscale segment within the state capital.
The luxury project was officially inaugurated virtually by the Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who joined the grand opening ceremony remotely. In a video address to the organizers, attendees, and members of the media, Minister Shri Shekhawat expressed his regrets for not being able to attend the event in person due to sudden family circumstances. He extended his appreciation to the Team Prachi leader Shri Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo for the invitation and congratulated them on the successful launch of the luxury development.
During his address, the Union Minister highlighted the rapid advancement of India’s tourism and hospitality landscape under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He noted that the addition of star-category hotels and premium accommodations is vital to meeting the growing demands of modern travelers and boosting regional economic development. Commending the ongoing efforts of the Odisha Government in promoting State Tourism, the Union Minister expressed strong confidence that this partnership will bring world-class service standards to Bhubaneswar, further accelerating the city’s growth as a prominent cultural, business, and event hub in Eastern India.

The grand opening ceremony was graced by prominent dignitaries and leadership from both organizations. Chairperson of Prachi Resorts, Shrimati Vijaya Laxmi Devi, attended the event as the Chief Guest, alongside Former Minister and Ex-MP Shri Anang Uday Singh Deo. Chairperson of Ekamra Vatika, Shrimati Meghna Singh Deo, was also present to honor the occasion.
Managing Director of Prachi Resorts, Shri Manmath Vijay Singh Deo, presented the comprehensive details of the premium development. Director of Prachi Resorts and Senior Lawmaker, Shri Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, elaborated on the Prachi Hotel Group’s journey since the 1970s in establishing star-category hotels in Bhubaneswar and Puri, highlighting the strategic significance of expanding the group’s footprint further into the state. He also expressed his profound thanks to Union Minister Shekhawat for extending full institutional support to the project.
Representing the national hotel chain, Sarovar Hotels Chairman Shri Ajay K. Bakaya outlined the hospitality major’s ongoing expansion program both across India and in international markets. Shri Bakaya lauded the Odisha Government’s proactive and supportive tourism policy, emphasizing that such administrative encouragement provides a strong foundation for the tourism and hospitality industry to thrive.
Earlier an opening welcome address by the General Manager of Prachi Sarovar Premiere, Shri Santosh Tewary, who received the large gathering of invited guests and media personnel. Public Relation Manager, Sarovar Hotels, Ms.Shivangani Gaur coordinated the Media Meet, which had a smooth sailing.
