Bhubaneswar: Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited(IREDA), anchored his keynote address at the Eastern India Regional Students’ Conference in Bhubaneswar today around his 3C Mantra: Clarity, Commitment, and Conviction.
Speaking at the Gyanothhan 2026 event organized by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, CMD IREDA Shri Das presented these three pillars as the essential framework for Cost and Management Accountants to navigate the complexities of the modern global economy. He emphasized that for both individuals and institutions, these principles are the drivers of sustainable growth and meaningful legacy.
To illustrate the power of this mindset, CMD IREDA highlighted India’s remarkable energy transition, where installed renewable capacity reached 275 GW in FY26. He noted that the nation achieved its non-fossil capacity goals five years ahead of schedule, reflecting a collective national commitment.
Shri Das shared that IREDA’s own success, including a loan book that grew to 93,051 crore rupees by FY26, was built on the conviction to finance emerging technologies like green hydrogen. He credited the organization’s ability to innovate and reduce turnaround times to a disciplined culture that prioritizes clarity of thought, often supported by practices like yoga and meditation.
Addressing the students directly, Shri Das urged them to apply the 3C Mantra to their own careers by looking beyond marks and placements to focus on the problems they can solve for society.
He shared the story of IREDA’s successful IPO in 2023, which succeeded on its third attempt to become a major value creator, as a testament to the resilience that conviction provides. He concluded by reminding the faculty and professionals that they are nation builders whose true role is to inspire thinking and instill values, noting that life does not get better by chance, but by the intentional change driven by these three core pillars.
