Bhubaneswar: A group of students from the Ramadevi Women’s University here on Wednesday visited the Voice of SOA Community Radio 90.4 at the SOA Deemed to be University on an educational tour organised to familiarize them with media operations and communication.
The students studying in 2nd year B.Sc. (Computer Science) actively interacted with the radio team gaining insight into script writing, anchoring and technical aspects of production of radio programs. The tour was mainly aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical learning and the real world media. The students also discussed about AI and radio and how it was redefining radio operation making it more efficient than before.
“AI has definitely opened new possibilities and helping in a lot of ways but the human touch will remain irreplaceable. The future of radio lay in blending technology with human activity and AI should be seen as a supportive tool rather than a replacement,” Ms. Honey Patnaik, Officer-in-charge of SOA Community Radio 90.4, said.
