Bhubaneswar: FINCON 2026, a high-level academic and industry conference hosted at Utkal University, concluded its three-day program with an annual meet on April 18, 2026.
The event focused on the central theme of navigating global economic uncertainty and developing strategies for growth in a volatile business environment.
The three-day event began on April 16 with a flashmob, followed by a B-School meet on April 17 that included competitions such as Trade Wars and Brain Blitz. The final day also featured a plenary session moderated by Prof. Anil Kumar Swain, focusing on economic strategies for growth in a volatile business world.

Shri Indramani Tripathy, IAS, Labour Commissioner of Odisha, attended the final day as the Chief Guest, offering his insights to the assembled participants at the Prof. S.K. Das Conference Hall.
During his address, Shri Tripathy shared perspectives on the intersection of administrative leadership and economic development. The session also featured Dr. Prashant Kumar Hota, President of High Impact Social Development Projects and Head of Corporate Communication for Jindal Steel and Power Ltd., who served as the Chief Speaker.
The conference, organized by the P.G. Department of Commerce, featured a diverse schedule including a plenary session with industry experts like Sachidanand Bhoi, CEO of Go Speedy Go, and Atish Subhash Goswami of Jindal Ferrous Ltd.
