State Assures LPG Availability

Bhubaneswar: The State Government of Odisha has officially assured the public that there is an ample supply of cooking gas (LPG) and fuel currently available across the state. In a high-level review meeting held today at the Lok Seva Bhawan, Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg advised citizens not to be concerned about potential shortages.

Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department, alongside representatives from major oil marketing companies such as IOCL, HPCL, and BPCL. Officials engaged in detailed discussions regarding the supply chain management and distribution processes from refineries and depots to retail outlets and distributors.

Oil company authorities confirmed that there are no issues regarding the supply of LPG, petrol, or diesel for general consumers. Furthermore, they clarified that the supply of cooking gas to educational institutions and hospitals remains stable and unaffected.

To ensure continued accessibility, the Chief Secretary directed oil companies to maintain a balanced supply chain. Both the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department and the oil companies have been instructed to take proactive steps in creating public awareness and providing regular updates through various media channels.

Additionally, the Chief Secretary ordered oil companies to submit a daily report to the state government regarding fuel and gas stocks, matching the details they provide to the Central Government.
