IREDA CMD At WEF DAVOS

DAVOS, SWITZERLAND — Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), joined a high-level Indian delegation at the World Economic Forum(WEF) to advocate for the country’s clean energy transition.

Accompanying Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi, Shri Das is part of a strategic team including the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra and other states aimed at positioning India as a global leader in sustainable growth.

The focus of the delegation’s engagement at Davos is to demonstrate how large-scale renewable energy production serves as a critical driver for India’s goal of becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

Shri Das’s role emphasizes the essential nature of robust financing and infrastructure development in meeting national energy targets while ensuring electricity remains affordable and reliable.
