Minister Lauds IREDA’s Stellar Performance

New Delhi: Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pralhad Joshi, has praised the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) for its strong Q2 FY26 progress, affirming that it is significantly boosting India’s clean energy journey.

Following the announcement of IREDA’s impressive financial results for the second quarter, Minister Shri Joshi took to social media to commend the agency’s efforts.

“India’s journey toward clean energy is gaining wonderful momentum with @IREDALtd’s strong Q2 FY26 progress,” the Minister stated. He highlighted the central role of the public sector undertaking (PSU) in the nation’s green transition.

Shri Joshi further noted that IREDA is fostering sustainable development with “passion and purpose,” which is crucial for building a self-reliant economy. He added that the agency is “lighting up India’s future and inspiring us all to build a greener, brighter tomorrow.”

IREDA’s Q2 FY26 results showed a 41% surge in Profit After Tax (PAT) and a massive 145% jump in Loan Sanctions year-on-year, underscoring its pivotal contribution to financing renewable energy projects across the country.

The Minister’s remarks reinforce the government’s commitment to achieving its ambitious clean energy targets, driven by the operational excellence of key financial institutions like IREDA.
