Axe On 3 Co-op Officers

Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Saturday issued orders for compulsory retirement of three officials of the Department of Cooperation.

Following the approval of Governor Ganeshi Lal, the Department of Cooperation has issued three different orders to this effect.

The transparent process to weed out few officials was initiated by the Department of Cooperation led by Principal Secretary Sanjeev Chadha and Minister Cooperation Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given green signal for such action, said sources.

The officials who have been given compulsory retirement are; Mukteswar Soreng, Sub Asst. AGCS, Office of the Directorate of Cooperative Audit, Asish Kumar Rout, Sub-Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and Kedar Gouri Patra, Inspector of Cooperative Societies, Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.

“In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (a) of Rule 71 of the Odisha Service Code, the Governor of Odisha is pleased to retire from Service under the Government, Mukteswar Soreng, Sub Asst. AGCS, Office of the Directorate of Cooperative Audit, Odisha, Bhubaneswar who has already attained the age of 50 years with effect from 31.12.2022 (A.N) allowing him 3 months’ pay and allowances in lieu of 3 months’ notice, as provided in the First Proviso to the said rule,” read one order issued by the Cooperation Department.

Similar orders were issued for Asish Kumar Rout, Sub Assistant Register and Kedar Gouri Patra, Inspector Cooperation.
