Bhubaneswar: Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Director (Chief Fire Officer), Odisha Fire and Disaster Response Academy, Bhubaneswar is happy as currently 55 Sub Officers came from Rajasthan, Maharastra, Chhatisgarh, Mandhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnanatka and personnel from Indian Army and Indian Air Force to undergo training at OFDRA for a duration of Six months. They will be passing out in July – August -2022.
National Fire Service College, Nagpur has already short listed OFDRA, Bhubaneswar for conducting 48th Batch External Sub Officer’s course with 60 participants from various parts of the country which is likely to start from July2022.
In fact, National Fire Service College, Nagpur, Ministry of Home Affairs has been conducting the professional training of Sub Officer’s (Assistant Station Officer) for the entire country through 10 Regional Training Centers(RTC)s.
Odisha Fire and Disaster Response Academy, Bhubaneswar, which is an ISO Certified Academy has been accredited as one of pioneer Regional Training Centre.
Odisha Fire and Disaster Response Academy, Bhubaneswar has already trained 604 nos. Sub Officers so far from various parts of the country including 7183 Odisha Fire Service personnel.
This training course gives through exposure on Fire Protection, Fire Prevention, Fire Extinction and related fire fighting matter.

Multiplex, Shopping Malls, Cinema Halls, Auditoriums, Educational Institutions, Factories and Industries, Ware houses.
