On the occasion of Rath Jatra 2021, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and many dignitaries on Monday greeted people and prayed for the good health of everyone.
Taking to microblogging site twitter, President Ram Nath Kovind wished for the happiness and good health of the people of the country on the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu greeted people on the eve of Raht Jatra.
“Greetings to everyone on the special occasion of the Rath Jatra. We bow to Lord Jagannath and pray that his blessings bring good health and prosperity in everyone’s lives. Jai Jagannath!,” Modi said in his tweet.
Similarly, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wished that the Covid-19 pandemic will end soon with the blessings of the deities. He prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of all.
“Divine feeling to see the decorated chariots of Holy Trinity: Taladhwaja, Nandighosa and Debadalana stationed at #BadaDanda for the earthly journey of the Lords,” Naveen said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah wished people on the occasion of Shree Jagannath Rath Jatra and wished that the Lord may shower his blessings on everyone and fill everyone’s life with good health, prosperity and good fortune.
“Hearty greetings to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Shri Jagannath Rath Jatra. May Mahaprabhu Jagannath shower his blessings on everyone and fill everyone’s life with good health, prosperity and good fortune. Jai Jagannath!,” Mr.Shah tweeted.
Earlier in the day, the Union Home Minister also performed ‘aarti’ at Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad before the annual Rath Yatra takes off from the temple.
Greeting people on this auspicious occasion, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “I pray to Lord Jagannath for the safety and well-being of all my brothers & sisters.”
Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswasbhusan Harichandan, BJP President JP Nadda, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan & Ashwini Vaishnaw and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi greeted people on this auspicious occasion.
