Rourkela: BJP’s Top Poll Strategist and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today claimed that BJP will win 75 MLA and 15 MP seats in Odisha.
While addressing an election rally at Rourkela, Amit Shah said Odisha would turn saffron after the elections, since the BJP would win over 75 Assembly and 15 Lok Sabha seats.
He asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already won 270 Lok Sabha seats in the first four phases of elections and is now moving towards 400.
Referring to the missing keys of the Puri Jagannath Temple ‘Ratna Bhandar’ (treasure chest), the BJP leader alleged that Odisha Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik is misleading people and playing with their faith.
Shah said this election is to restore Odisha’s pride, language, culture and tradition.
Shri Shah said Modiji has appointed the tribal daughter of Odisha Droupadi Murmu as President of India. Till now, the Congress has never appointed a tribal in the post of President.
PM Modi has showcased Konark wheel to welcome world leaders at G20 Summit and enhanced the pride of Odisha and issued coin & dak tickets on Paika rebellion, he pointed out.
The BJD Government is insulting the pride of Odisha every day. Odisha should be ruled in Odia language not in Tamil, he asserted.
Lord Jagannath temple’s all four gates have not been opened for the devotees. In the name of the Parikrama project, the BJD government has worked to make it a tourist destination, which is an insult to the temple, the BJP leader alleged.
The people of Odisha and crores of Jagannath devotees want to know about the original key of Ratna Bhandar, which has been missing for a long years. Why is the Naveen Patnaik Government sitting on the judicial commission report? He said.
“After coming to power, the BJP government will publish the report within one month,” he promised.
He also claimed that the Odisha Government is run by officers instead of elected MLAs and MPs.
In its 25 years of tenure, BJD pushed Odisha 50 years back. The government has shown a step-motherly attitude towards western Odisha. The income of farmers is lowest in Odisha. The BJP after forming a government in odisha, will procure paddy at a cost of Rs 3100, he added.
