Bhubaneswar: Satyabrata Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary Forest, Environment & Climate Change has urged the Divisional Forest Officers (DFO)s to adhere 5T Charter and keep coordination among the other government officials of various departments for convergence and speed up development.
ACS Shri Sahu was addressing the DFO Meet held here at Aranya Bhawan, which was attended by all the senior officers of the Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change.
Minister Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Pradip Amat inaugurated the State Level Meet, which was graced by PCCF & HoFF Debidutta Biswal, PCCF Wildlife Sushil Kumar Popli, PCCF, O P Singh, PCCF(Nodal) Susant Nanda, Addl.PCCF Meeta Biswal, Addl PCCF, Pusa Jhule Mekro and other senior officials.
ACS Shri Sahu said DFOs are needed to adopt Transformation Initiatives, which has been ushered in by the State Government to speed up development process.
He said DFOs are to coordinate among the officials of Revenue, Agriculture, Fisheries, Horticulture and other allied sectors.
ACS Shri Sahu harped on the developmental programs being taken up by the State Government for the people living in and around the forests.
He said that endeavors are needed to generate interest among the population about the programs like pisciculture, millet production horticulture and other such activities by which animal-man conflict will be reduced.
PCCF Wildlife S K Popli was lauded for his positive contributions towards protection of wildlife during his tenure as Chief Of Wildlife Directorate.
Shri Popli elaborated the efforts in this regard and urged to work with positive mindset for the people.
