5T Boosts Higher Education

Bhubaneswar: Higher Education Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak said that the field of Higher Education in the state will be more vibrant utilizing all 5Ts.

Shri Nayak was chairing Workshop-cum-Orientation Program for Principals of Government Colleges, Non-Government Aided Colleges, Teachers’ Educational Institutions was held on 13 September at Convention Hall Centre, Lokaseva Bhawan.

Vice Chancellors of three Universities, 370 Principals of Government, Non-Government Aided and Non- Aided Colleges participated in this workshop.

Chief Minister Secretary V K Pandian has announced that Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs.1000 Crore for infrastructure development of our colleges in the first phase.

Shri Pandian, who is also 5T Secretary was speaking in the Workshop organized for Principals of the Educational Institutions spread across the State here today.

The prime objective of this Workshop was to foster dialogue among the key stakeholders in the Higher education sector in the state on various topics ranging from financial schemes to technical advancements, aiming for both immediate and long term implement, said Minister.

Shri Nayak said that Odisha has excelled in food security and sports. we will achieve all round excellence in the sector of Higher Education by our unified approach.

Sri Nayak said Education is our valuable resources. Basing on it we will be able to translate the dream of our Chief Minister into reality.

Alumni of all colleges must come forward and contribute towards this process of transformation, Akash Das Nayak, Chairman Mo College said.

Later on more funds will be sanctioned for the betterment of Higher Education.

Secretary, Higher Education Aravind Agrawal, Director, Higher Education, Narahari Sethi, spoke on the occasion.

Special Secretary Pramod Kumar Mishra gave the welcome address and Special Secretary Ramakant Nayak extended vote of thanks.
