Bhubaneswar: This century belongs to India. India is going to lead the world. India is currently the fifth largest economy in the world. It will soon reach the third position. Governor Raghubar Das said that women power will play a leading role in accelerating this trend of development.
Speaking at the 9th Foundation Day celebrations of Ramadevi University here today, Governor and Vice-Chancellor Raghubar Das said that women are now making huge achievements and leading in almost every field. Several visionary programmes and schemes are being implemented under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make it more functional. Recently, the Constitution has amended the Women’s Power Act to empower the use and application of women’s power. The Governor said that the government’s commitment and sincerity for the dignity and rights of women power is very inspiring.
The Governor further said that the National Education Policy 2020 is a progressive effort. It will strengthen the knowledge-based system. From skill and skill development to teaching in the mother tongue and promotion of innovation and research, the country will travel to a brighter future. The Governor said that women power has a big role to play in building a developed and self-reliant India.
The journey from college to university is very meaningful and inspiring. The university’s contribution towards women empowerment in Odisha is remarkable. Today’s concern is an introspection of the goals and objectives on which this journey began and the preparation to meet the challenges and needs of the future. Maa Ramadevi is a source of inspiration. The Governor advised them to build themselves inspired by his principles and ideals.
Addressing the students, the Governor said, “Don’t be too happy with success or break down by failures. Have faith and confidence in yourself. The governor asked them to compete with themselves and not with anyone else.
Vice-Chancellor Aparajita Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor Shyamali Mohapatra and Chairman of The Post Graduate Council Chandi Charan Rath briefed about the status and progress of the university. South Korea’s Buddhist monk Ven. Sim San emphasised on the contribution of women in human welfare.
Shruti Mohapatra, the guest of honour and founder and chief executive officer of ‘Swabhimaan’, shared the experiences and achievements of her life journey. On the occasion, a book published by the University was released and the Governor awarded the winners of various competitions. At the outset, the Maa Ramadevi Museum was inaugurated by the Governor.
