Bhubaneswar: With the improvement in Covid-19 situation in the State, the Department of Higher Education on Wednesday ordered all upcoming undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) examinations through offline mode.
In this regard, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Saswat Mishra has issued an instruction to all vice-chancellors of all State universities and principals of all government/ non-government degree colleges.
“In supersession of all previous orders/instructions issued by this Department regarding conduct of examinations in Universities and Colleges, it is hereby intimated that all UG and PG level examinations (annual/semester) will henceforth be held in offline mode observing appropriate Covid-19 prevention protocols,” Mr.Mishra said.
In view of the Covid-19 situation, the State Government had conducted the UG and PG final year or semester exams in online mode this year. The final year students were allowed to appear for the test seating in this home.
Last year, many States had announced cancellation of the examinations in view of Covid-19 pandemic but Odisha did not. Later, the Supreme Court’s direction came on the conduct of the exams.
