Bhubaneswar: National Seminar titled “Marketing, E-Commerce & Scheme Support for Women Entrepreneurs” was organized on 21st August 2026 at the UCCIL Conference Hall, Bhubaneswar.
The event was joint effort by the MSME-Development & Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Ministry of MSME, Government of India, Cuttack, and the Utkal Chamber of Commerce Limited (UCCIL), Bhubaneswar. Dr. Sanjeev Mahapatra, Honorary Secretary of UCCIL, successfully coordinated the seminar, which brought together approximately 110 women entrepreneurs.
The inaugural session featured Shrimati Rashmita Panda, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, MSME Department, Government of Odisha, as the Chief Guest. Shri P. K. Gupta, IEDS, Director, MSME-DFO, Cuttack, delivered the program objective and brief, while Dr. Prabodh Mohanty, President, and Dr. Sanjeev Mahapatra, Honorary Secretary of UCCIL, provided the welcome address.
The seminar’s first technical session addressed digital marketing and e-commerce strategies. Presentations covered product onboarding on MEESHO, the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), and marketing support through ORMAS. Speakers included Ms. Sony Samal, Founder of 72, DPI; Shri Gaurav Rastogi, Training Program Manager at MEESHO, New Delhi; Shri Sunil Kumar, GeM Expert; and Sri Satya Sundar Sibram Paital, Dy. CEO of ORMAS.
A second technical session highlighted government schemes and institutional support available to MSMEs and women-led enterprises. Detailed presentations covered state MSME Department initiatives, SIDBI programs, PMEGP, the National SC-ST Hub, and ONDC. Participating resource persons represented DIC Khordha, SIDBI, KVIC, National SC-ST Hub, and NSIC.
The event featured success story presentations from established women entrepreneurs to share real-world business experiences. An interactive Question & Answer session concluded the seminar, allowing participants to clarify details regarding online marketing, government portals, and financial access to better expand their enterprise reach.
