Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has approved 19 industrial investment proposals totaling 3,280.58 crore rupees during the 150th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority meeting. The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg. These projects are projected to generate 10,661 employment opportunities across multiple regions and key sectors.
The approved investments span a diverse set of industries, including textiles, food processing, steel downstream, global capability centres, biofuels, chemicals, circular economy, plastics, and tourism.
In the textile sector, Dollar Industries will set up an integrated hosiery unit in Khordha valued at 125 crore rupees, while Sai Workwear Private Limited will invest 59 crore rupees in a technical textiles manufacturing facility in Puri. Together, these projects are expected to generate nearly 4,835 jobs.
The food processing segment features a 120 crore rupee snacks facility by Geofast Industries in Khordha and a 100 crore rupee confectionery co-packaging unit by Jai Bhawani Foods in Cuttack.
Three steel downstream projects were approved for Debagada, Sundargarh, and Cuttack, bringing combined investments worth over 350 crore rupees. In technology services, Tata Power will set up a Global Capability Centre in Khordha with an investment of 54.31 crore rupees.
Clean energy received a major boost with Indian Oil Corporation Limited proposing compressed bio-gas manufacturing facilities worth 960 crore rupees spread across eight districts. Kineta Global Limited will also establish a compressed bio-gas unit in Ganjam valued at 170 crore rupees.
Chemicals, plastics, and circular economy projects were cleared for Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, and Angul. Shri Dakshineshwari Maa Polyfabs Limited will set up a polypropylene woven and non-woven fabric manufacturing plant in Khordha valued at 401.63 crore rupees.
The tourism sector saw five major approvals, including a 5-star hotel by BBB Hotel Private Limited in Ganjam, a 5-star beach resort under the Accor brand in Puri, and resort projects in Jharsuguda, Puri, and Koraput.
Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg stated that the approvals highlight the expanding diversity of the state’s industrial landscape. She emphasized that the focus remains on value addition to local resources, building resilient supply chains, and ensuring balanced regional economic growth aligned with the Samruddha Odisha 2036 vision.
