Window Clears 18 Projects

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has further accelerated its industrial growth trajectory by approving 18 new projects during the 146th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority. Chaired by Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg, the authority cleared investments totaling 3,877.14 crore. These strategic projects are projected to create 7,565 employment opportunities across 11 districts, including Balasore, Jharsuguda, and Khordha.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, the state is focusing on a diversified industrial ecosystem that spans advanced manufacturing, green industries, and maritime activities. Notable approvals in the metal and downstream sector include facilities by Runaya Eckart Aluminium Powders, Scan Steels Limited, and Jay Jagannath Steel & Power, which aim to reinforce Odisha’s position as a premier metal manufacturing hub.

The state is also expanding into high-technology and healthcare sectors. EnvairElectrodyne Limited will establish an electronics manufacturing unit, while Harman Finochem and Ambitech Healthcare are set to strengthen the local pharmaceutical and medical device value chains. Furthermore, the approval of a shipbuilding and repair facility by Baleshwar Shipyard and Infra in Balasore marks a significant move into maritime manufacturing.

Infrastructure and tourism also received a boost, with logistics projects by Tamil Nadu Ispat and Alps Mining, alongside six new hospitality ventures intended to enhance the state’s tourism economy. These approvals reflect a proactive governance model that has seen over 150 industrial projects grounded or inaugurated in the last two years, driving Odisha toward its goal of becoming a primary industrial growth engine for Eastern India.
