Bhubaneswar: With Veteran IFS Officer Susanta Nanda at the helm of Wildlife Directorate, wildlife criminals are on run.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Wild life Shri Nanda is on move in the forest zones of Odisha and coordinating the efforts of enforcement in the forests for protection of wildlife.
So working 48 hours continuously, the forest officials in Nayagarh District nabbed the accused responsible for electrocution of a wild elephant.
According to sources, a wild elephant was electrocuted by some wildlife criminals in the forest areas near Daspalla in Nayagarh district. Following this incident, the forest officials launched an operation and nabbed the culprits.
Informing about the incident on X, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Wildlife Susant Nanda thanked the team Nayagarh for their effort to crack the case.
“Tusk recovered & 3 accused detained in Nayagarh. The culprits responsible for electrocution of the elephant have been apprehended. Team Nayagarh did some scientific & proper investigation without rest for last 48 hrs leading to the accused being caught. My sincere thanks,” Shri Nanda wrote on X.
