Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has finalized comprehensive administrative and security arrangements to ensure a zero-error visit for the Honorable Vice President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, scheduled for January 23.

Chief Secretary Shrimati Anu Garg conducted a final review today at Loka Seba Bhawan, emphasizing seamless coordination between state and central agencies.

ACS Home, Industries and I&PR, Shri Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary Works, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Special Secretary Home, Shri Radha Kisan Sharma and other senior officials were present.

A multi-tier security grid will be implemented across the Twin Cities. The inner perimeter at Biju Patnaik International Airport and VVIP venues will be managed by specialized units and the Central Industrial Security Force, while the Odisha Police will provide extensive outer cordoning. Special security drills and cavalcade rehearsals are planned to ensure smooth movement from the airport to Cuttack and back.

Logistics and Transport: Department of Works and the Commissionerate Police have been tasked with maintaining the transit routes. Barricades will be erected along the passage from the airport to the Netaji Birthplace Museum in Cuttack to manage public gatherings without disrupting the motorcade.

Department of energy has been directed to provide uninterrupted power supply at all event sites, including the Netaji Museum and the new District Culture Center. Backup power systems and technical teams will be stationed on-site.

Health and Emergency Services: Dedicated medical teams and advanced life-support ambulances will be part of the convoy and stationed at all venues.

Civic Coordination: The Collectors of Khordha and Cuttack, along with municipal authorities, are overseeing sanitation and beautification along the visit path.

The Director General of Police, Shri Y.B. Khurania, and the Police Commissioner Shri S Devdatt Singh have confirmed the deployment of several platoons of police force to maintain law and order throughout the day-long visit. The State Administration remains on high alert to welcome the dignitary for the Parakram Diwas celebrations.
