Bhubaneswar: Vedanta Group Chairman Shri Anil Agarwal met Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan today to discuss new industrial projects, revealing plans for a massive capital investment of around ₹1 lakh crore in Odisha.
This investment is expected to generate over 1 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state. The State Government assured full support, including the provision of required land and other infrastructure facilities.
A key outcome of the discussions was the plan to establish an ultra-modern Ferro-Alloys Plant in Keonjhar with an investment of ₹2,000 crore, aiming to enhance Odisha’s standing in the global metal value chain.
Additionally, Vedanta will set up two new Aluminium Parks. One park will be near its Aluminium Plant at Jharsuguda, and the other will be at a site identified by the State Government.
These parks will produce high-grade aluminium alloys for sectors such as aerospace, electric vehicles, and defence, which is expected to attract large-scale downstream investments and significantly boost the MSME sector in Odisha.

The Chief Minister called the investment a “game-changer for the bright future of Odisha.”
