Bhubaneswar: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, in collaboration with the LV Prasad Eye Institute, recently organized a free eye screening camp at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in the Kashipur block of Rayagada district. The initiative provided vital eye care services to over 165 residents from Kashipur and neighboring villages, underscoring the company’s commitment to community health and well-being.
The camp was designed to facilitate the early detection of common eye conditions, including cataracts, pterygium, and refractive errors, enabling timely treatment and raising public awareness about eye health in rural communities. The event was formally inaugurated by Debabrata Mallick, Inspector In-Charge, Kashipur, alongside Dr. Netrananda Naik, Head, CHC, Kashipur, with local healthcare professionals and community representatives also in attendance.
