Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has decided to commence COVID-19 Vaccination for the Front Line Workers from 6 February, 2021.
As on date, the database of more than 1.92 Lakh Front Line Workers (FLW)s have been uploaded on Co-WIN Portal in Odisha.
Accordingly ACS Health & Family Welfare, Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has directed all District Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and CDM & PHOs to make arrangements for the Vaccination.
Earlier Ministry of Health & Family Welfare had asked all States and union territories to initiate vaccination of frontline workers against COVID-19 from the first week of February.
Vaccination of Health Care Workers that began on 16 January will continue simultaneously.
As per Co-WIN Record 1,92,437 Front Line Workers have registered in Odisha and they will be vaccinated like Health Care Workers.
Highest number of FLWs are in Khurda with 24,197, followed by Cuttack, with 12,639 Sundargarh with 12,581 and Koraput with 11,380 FLWs.
Accordingly identification of Vaccination Sites will be identified and alternative Vaccinators for conducting Sessions for the FLWs will be mobilized.
District authorities will identify alternative Vaccination Teams and they will be provided training for conducting Sessions.
A Nodal Officer will be designated, who will be responsible for providing Provisional and Final Certificate of Vaccination.
Provisional Certificate of Vaccination will be given after First Dose and after Second Dose, Final Certificate of Vaccination will be presented.
Meticulous Micro Planning will be taken up based on load of FLWs to be vaccinated in the District for successful vaccination, pointed out a senior Official of the Department of Health & Family Welfare.
District Micro Plans will be submitted to the State Government on 3 February, said sources.
Sources said Vaccines have already been supplied and District Authorities are informed for collection of the same, officials say.
