Bhubaneswar: The state-level literary festival Gateway Odisha Sahitya Samaroh 2026 was organized today in Bhubaneswar through a joint collaboration between the Odisha Sahitya Academy and Maruti Media.
Eminent Industrialist, Dr. Prabodh Kumar Mohanty played a central role in the Gateway Odisha Sahitya Samaroh 2026 as the inaugurator of the festival’s opening session.
In his capacity as the President of the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (UCCIL), he provided a bridge between the state’s industrial leadership and its literary community.
His participation, alongside literary stalwarts underscored the event’s stature as a major state-level collaborative effort between the Odisha Sahitya Academy and Maruti Media.
By leading the inaugural proceedings, Dr.Mohanty helped set the stage for a day dedicated to the celebration and recitation of Odia literature in Bhubaneswar.

Eminent litterateur Professor Dr. Sanghamitra Mishra joined as the Chief Guest, while distinguished poet and Additional Director General of the Press Information Bureau, Government of India, Shri Akhil Kumar Mishra, attended as the Guest of Honor.
Dr. Chandrasekhar Hota, Secretary of the Odisha Sahitya Academy, participated as the chief speaker.
The ceremony was presided over by Shri Manoj Prusty, Director of Maruti Media, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Kamalakanat Mohanty, Advisor to Maruti Media. Information regarding the magazine and the festival was provided by the editor.
The second phase of the event featured a poetry recitation session presided over by Surya Mishra, a renowned poet and President of the Bhubaneswar Sahitya Samaj Trust.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Chhualsingh, Assistant Secretary of the Odisha Sahitya Academy, attended as the guest of honor, while young poet Shri Subrat Kumar Senapati coordinated the session. Invited poets from various parts of the state participated and recited their poems during the program.
