Tripathy Stresses Zero-Accident Goal

Dhenkanal: Shri Indramani Tripathy, IAS, Director of Factories and Boilers and Commissioner of Labor, Odisha, conducted a thorough inspection of the safety systems at Tata Steel Limited’s facility in Dhenkanal. The inspection was a part of the state’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the highest standards of industrial safety and worker welfare.

Following the detailed review of the plant’s operational safety protocols, Shri Tripathy addressed the management and safety teams, delivering a clear message on the non-negotiable importance of workplace safety.

He emphatically stressed that the ultimate goal for every industrial unit must be the achievement of an accident-free environment. “Safety is not just a compliance requirement, it is a fundamental social responsibility,” Shri Tripathy stated, urging the factory leadership to embed a proactive safety culture at every level of the organization.

The Commissioner of Labor highlighted the necessity for continuous vigilance, regular maintenance of safety equipment, and comprehensive training programs for all personnel. He underscored that an accident-free workplace is a prerequisite for sustained industrial productivity and the well-being of the workforce.

Shri Tripathy’s focus on the ‘zero-accident’ vision reaffirms the government’s priority for the protection of workers in the state’s burgeoning industrial sector. He directed the factory management to meticulously adhere to all provisions of the Factories Act and Odisha Factories Rules, ensuring that worker safety remains the paramount concern in all operational decisions.

The inspection concluded with a directive for the immediate rectification of any identified minor shortcomings to solidify the safety infrastructure.
