Sambalpur: Asit Tripathy, Chairman, WODC has expressed the opinion that young entrepreneurs can take advantage of the state government’s new agriculture and animal husbandry policy to become self-reliant and increase their own income.
Shri Tripathy graced the Western Odisha Dairy Summit – 2023 in Sambalpur district as the Chief Guest. The summit has been organized under the auspices of the District Administration, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department and Western Odisha Development Council. The Summit will be held for two days.
In the Summit, Shri Tripathy visited various stalls and discussed with successful farmers and young entrepreneurs. On this occasion, he said, farmers can grow their business by using new technology. Farmers not only do traditional farming but also fish farming, cattle rearing, animal husbandry etc. In order to promote the farmers in different districts of Odisha, milk chilling plants are being built in different places and more than two times milk is being produced. Shri Tripathy expressed hope that Sambalpur district will set an example in such growth in the coming days.
On this occasion, six milk vehicles with a capacity of 10,000 litters were flagged off. Shri Tripathy visited various stalls and discussed with dairy farmers and companies from the other states. Entrepreneurs expressed their gratitude for the steps taken by the hon’ble Chief minister and the Western Odisha Development Council for the development of infrastructure in the last two years.
This Summit was attended by Labour Minister Sarada Prasad Nayak, Suresh Kumar Vashishth, Principal Secretary, FARD, Rohit Pujari, MLA, Kishore Chandra Nayak, MLA, Kumudini Naik, Zilla Parishad Chairperson, Collector, Ananya Das, Ajit Kumar Mishra, CEO, WODC and other senior guests were present.
