Bhubaneswar: Team Home Odisha, led by Additional Chief Secretary Shri Hemant Sharma, accorded a warm farewell to senior IPS officer Shri Radha Kishan Sharma upon his superannuation from service on 30 September 2026.
Shri Radha Kishan Sharma is a distinguished member of the 1995 batch of the Indian Police Service. Academically accomplished, he holds qualifications including M.Com and CA.
Over his illustrious career, he has held several vital administrative and operational positions within the state, including Inspector General of the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) under the Crime Branch, Additional Director General (ADG) Headquarters, and ultimately serving as the Special Secretary to the Government of Odisha in the Home Department, prior to his retirement. He was also empanelled as Inspector General by the Government of India.
Widely respected as an honest, hardworking, suave and down-to-earth administrator, Shri Sharma earned immense praise from seniors, peers, and subordinates alike throughout his career. During his tenure as Special Secretary, his meticulous handling of state home affairs and policy coordination was instrumental in strengthening governance.
ACS Home Shri Sharma lauded efforts of Shri Sharma. His colleagues at his farewell gathering highlighted his positive contributions towards police welfare and administrative efficiency.
Fellow IPS officers greatly benefited from his persistent efforts to streamline cadre management and foster a supportive working environment.
His departure marks the conclusion of a commendable chapter in Odisha Policing, leaving behind a rich legacy of professional integrity and dedicated public service.
