Cuttack: Tough Cop, Ashish Kumar Singh has directed the excise officials to keep a strict vigil on any untoward incident during the Dhamnagar bye-election.
State Commissioner Excise, Mr. Singh reviewed excise enforcement and the action taken in connection with the bye-election today.
A review meeting was held on the occasion of Dhamnagar assembly bye election.
Additional Excise Commissioner Ramchandra Palta, Additional Excise Commissioner Ramchandra Mishra, Rajat Kumar Praharaj and Superintendents of Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Balasore, Flying Squad, EI and EB Unit-II, Cuttack attended the meeting.
Excise Commissioner Mr. Singh has directed the Bhadrak Excise Officers to open more control rooms and conduct day and night patrols. Jajpur, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Balasore District Commissioner has ordered daily raids in the surrounding areas of Bhadrak district.
Excise Flying Squad and EI and EB Unit-2, Cuttack, camped at Bhadrak and raided. Dhamnagar Legislative Assembly has ordered everyone to be alert and vigilant for free, fair and peaceful elections and the Commissioner has warned that negligence will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The excise officials of Bhadrak’s neighboring districts of Jajpur, Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Balasore have been directed to monitor the illegal movement of drugs and submit reports to the directorate daily. The SE of Bhadrak was also directed to submit the report in the prescribed format and personally monitor the enforcement.
The Central Additional Excise Commissioner has been directed to monitor the promotion activities on a daily basis.
