Bhubaneswar: Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, Chairman of the Assocham Odisha State Development Council, briefed Governor Dr.Hari Babu Kambhampati about the upcoming crucial summit, O-Leads, scheduled for October 9 and 10, 2026, during a meeting at Lok Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.

The delegation formally invited the Governor to grace the inauguration of the two-day event. Joined by UCCIL President Dr. Prabodh Kumar Mohanty and members of Team Assocham, the interaction focused on aligning industry initiatives with the economic priorities and industrial growth roadmap of the state.

Shri Mohanty briefed details about the ASSOCHAM activities in promoting Odisha and during the interaction, the Governor expressed deep appreciation for Assocham’s proactive role in fostering an environment conducive to industrial expansion, sustainable development, and trade leadership across Odisha.

Governor Dr.Kambahmpati commended the council’s continuous effort to create robust bridges between industry stakeholders and policymaking channels, highlighting how platform initiatives like O-Leads serve as vital catalysts for attracting investments, driving local entrepreneurship, and spurring technological adoption.

The Governor noted that Odisha’s economic ecosystem is undergoing a rapid transition toward high-value manufacturing, green energy, and infrastructure integration, making timely industry convenings essential for shaping future strategies.

The Assocham leadership emphasized the importance of collective trade action in positioning Odisha as a primary industrial hub in eastern India, outlining how the summit aims to bring together thought leaders, policymakers, industrial experts, and emerging entrepreneurs to deliberate on sustainable growth models.
