Bhubaneswar: “Sanskruti Charcha” ceremony on “Skill Development and The Role Of Youth for the development of Odisha ” was held at the Odisha State Archives today. The event was organized by the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture department.
The event was graced by Bishnupada Sethi, Principal Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture department as the Chief Guest.
In his address, Shri Sethi emphasized upon the importance of the monthly cultural discussion events conducted by the State Archives and how their outreach through social media is playing a crucial role in promoting Odia language, literature, art and culture.
He further stated, “Youth is the medium of change that can guide society in a new direction. The youth are the hope of our state and the foundation of a transformative society. Skill development among the youth will enable them to get the employment oppertunities . The economic growth of our state and country depends upon our youth. Therefore, I hope that the youth will empower themselves and contribute to the development of our state.”
Former Indian Revenue Service Officer, Sambit Tripathy joined the event as the Chief Speaker. He said, “The youth are a confluence of creativity and enthusiasm. They should have confidence in themselves. Additionally, it is necessary for everyone to be inspired to contribute to the country’s economic development by starting their own ventures.”
Shri Tripathy said “Odisha is rich in natural resources and is recognized globally for its handloom, handicrafts, rich literature and Jagannath culture. I am hopeful that our youth, through their skills, talent and competence, will bring pride to our state and country. We all should have the self-belief that we are all capable of building our own Konark”.
The introductory adress was given by Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, Director of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture department.
Many Odia literature and culture enthusiasts, along with senior officials from the Culture Department attended the ceremony today.
