New Delhi: The Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), in collaboration with Aerospace Services India (ASI) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), successfully concluded the Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) India Eco-System Summit 2.0 today at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.
The day-long summit focused on the achievements and future potential of India’s air and missile defense capabilities, aligning with the government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make-in-India initiatives. The event drew participation from high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Armed Forces, DRDO, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), and other key Indian defense manufacturers.
Participants emphasized their dedication to strengthening India’s position as a global leader in advanced defense systems. ASI reiterated its commitment to becoming India’s premier defense service provider.
The summit’s inaugural session featured addresses by senior MoD officials and industry leaders, who highlighted the increasing collaboration between the Indian and Israeli defense sectors. Key sessions included:
- Panel discussions on enhancing operational readiness and achieving self-reliance in missile systems.
- Technology showcases, including AI-powered service management systems like STORMS, developed by ASI.
- Industry discussions focused on building India’s long-term capabilities in indigenous defense manufacturing.
The summit underscored the achievements of the ASI-IAI joint venture, which plays a crucial role in providing technical support, life-cycle services, and local manufacturing for the MRSAM system, including the BARAK 8 missile and Air Defence Fire Control Radar.
The event stressed the importance of developing a robust and future-ready air defense infrastructure through continued collaboration, capability development, and localized innovation.
