Bhubaneswar: Clearing doubts over conduct of the Summative Assessment-I of Class 10 students, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Saturday said that the test will be conducted on the scheduled dates.
The assessment is scheduled to be held on 5 January, 2022 in all High Schools across the State. The marks obtained by the students in the term examination will help in the evaluation process.
“If in case the general board exams could not be held, then the marks of the term examinations will help in the evaluation process”, said Mr.Dash.
“The government has issued the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be followed by the schools in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 virus,” further said the Minister.
Besides, the School and Mass Education Department is in regular touch with the nodal officers and meetings are being conducted with the District Education Officers (DEOs) to review Covid-19 status, he added.
Earlier, the exams were scheduled to be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) from 27 December, 2021. However, it was postponed due to the Christmas holidays.
The examinations were later rescheduled from 5-8 January, 2022. Around 5.70 lakh students will appear for the annual matriculation examination this year.
