Bhubaneswar: Ace Mandarin, Sujata Rout Karthikeyan has taken the charge as the Secretary of Odia Language, Literature and Culture.
Shrimati Sujata was given warm welcome by senior officers of the Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture on arrival at the office in Lok Seva Bhawan.
Director, Odia Language, Literature and Culture, Dilip Routrai, Special Secretary Madhusudan Das, Joint Secretary Atasi Das, Joint Director Subodh Acharya, President of Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy Aruna Mohanty, Vice Chancellor of Utkal University of Culture, Prasanna Kumar Swain and other senior officials welcomed the new Secretary.
The new Secretary pointed out that it is an honor to work for the development of Odia Language, Literature and Culture and expressed her feeling that that she will render the responsibility earnestly.
During her stay in Office, she discussed various issues of the sector and sought cooperation from the officials to scale up the activities to the next level, said sources.
Shrimati Sujata visited 37th Annual Art Exhibition organized by Bibhuti Kanungo College of Art and Crafts at Kalinga Art Gallery in the State Museum.
The Secretary lauded the efforts of the faculty and students of the institution for organizing such an exhibition.
BK College of Arts and Crafts Principal Gajendra Kumar Padhi, State Museum Superintendent Bhagyalipi Malla and other senior officers were in attendance.
