Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida advised the District Collectors to give priority to greater public awareness to make the Subhadra program accessible to the tribal-dominated areas. She said that one crore women from Odisha would be registered under the Subhadra Scheme soon. Shrimati Parida mentioned that it would be a great achievement for us to add one crore beneficiaries to a government scheme.
Shrimati Parida was speaking to District Collectors and said it is the biggest flagship program of the State Government to empower women.
Secretary Women and Child Development Subha Sarma made a presentation and said that out of the 1 crore 89 lakh 34 thousand 176 Subhadra application forms printed so far, 1 crore 57 lakh 1 thousand 55 forms have been distributed. More than 95 lakh applications have been registered till date. A total of 25 lakh 29 thousand 720 “Subhadra” beneficiaries have been given money. Out of these, 25 lakh 17 thousand 545 people have been transferred directly to the bank accounts and 12 thousand 175 people have been transferred through CBDC.
Awareness on Subhadra Yojana has been created in the villages of Odisha through various information, education and communication methods. Beneficiaries of National Food Security Scheme (NFSS) and State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) are being checked through social protection delivery platform (SPDP). Beneficiaries excluded from NFSS and SFSS will be screened by field inspection. All the approvals will be displayed on the Subhadra web portal along with the list of exclusions. Everyone will also be informed by the SMS.
Mukesh Mahaling, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Electronics & Information Technology lauded all the officials concerned for successful implementation of the scheme in successful use of technology and proposed to the District Collectors to reward ‘Mo Seva Kendras’ and ‘Jan Seva Kendras’ which have registered the highest Subhadra form at the district level.
Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology discussed in detail about the system of registration and verification process.
Cuttack District Collector Dattatreya Bhausaheb Shinde briefed about the successful implementation of Subhadra Yojana in Cuttack district. He proposed to link ‘Mo Seva Kendras’ and ‘Public Service Centres’ with Aadhaar Centres for program implementation. Similarly, the people of Koraput district are excited about the Subhadra scheme, said District Collector V. Kirthi Vasan.
