Subhadra Deadline 31 March

Bhubaneswar: The State Government has set 31 March Deadline for applying to get benefit of the Subhadra Yojana. This was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida here today.

The BJP Government has decided to release Rs 5,000 each to 1.7 lakh women beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana on March 6. This will be the 5th phase of disbursement of the first installment under Subhadra Yojana under which the women beneficiaries are given Rs 5,000 each.

Smt.Parida said the first installment of Rs 5,000 has been already provided to more than 98 lakh women beneficiaries in four phases. On March 6, the total number of beneficiaries will cross one crore, she said.

“We had promised to cover one crore women under the Subhadra Yojana. Now, our women have made the government ready to fulfill its promise,” said Smt. Parida, who is in-charge of the Women and Child Development Department.

For the first time in the history of Odisha, one crore people have been covered under one scheme that too, in a short time of eight months, she said.

She said the second installment will be transferred to the bank accounts of the one crore beneficiaries on March 8, International Women’s Day.   

Stating that 31 March will be the deadline for submission of application to get benefit of the scheme, Smt.Parida said, “Those found eligible by the deadline, will get three installments in one time on this year’s Raksha Bandhan.”   

Subhadra Yojana, an ambitious women welfare scheme of the BJP government, was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, 17 September, 2024.The scheme is designed to provide eligible women aged 21 to 60 years with Rs 50,000 over five years, from 2024-25 to 2028-29.
