Bhubaneswar: The 38th Annual Celebration of the Department of Steel & Mines was held on 24 April at Rabindra Mandap Auditorium.
The Ceremony was held under the aegis of the Department of Steel and Mines, Cultural Council.
Deepak Mohanty, Advisor, Mines graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and lauded the functionaries of the Cultural Council for successfully organizing various events like art, literature, drama, sports and picnics at different times.
Director Mines G Rajesh graced the occasion as Honorable Guest and appreciated the efforts of the Cultural Council of Steel & Mines Department.
Veteran IFS Officer, Shri Rajesh wished for continued efforts for scaling up art, culture and sports in coming days and offered his kind support in this regard.
Sangram Keshari Swain, Special Secretary attended the annual celebration of the Council.
The Magazine of Department of Steel and Mines “Ratnagarbha” was unveiled.
Senior Members of Council, Saroj Kumar Mohanty, Rabindra Kumar Pradhan, Timir Baran Das and Umashankar Mohapatra, along with all the artists were felicitated by the Honorable Guests.
The meeting was followed by a play ‘Sabu Ratira Sakal Nahin’ by the artistes of the cultural council. Senior officials and other members of the Department of Steel & Mines participated in the cultural program.
Cultural Council President Suresh Kumar Nag, General Secretary Bharat Chandra Nayak, Vice President Sharda Prasad Mohapatra and Assistant General Secretary Deepak Harichandan conducted the meeting.
