Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government in Department of Co-operation has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Institute of Rural Management, Anand to scale up training and development in the Co-operative Sector.
Principal Secretary Co-operation, Sanjeev Chadha singed the MoU on behalf of the Department of Co-operation, while Umakanta Dash Director IRMA signed the Pact on behalf of IRMA.
Registrar Co-operative Societies of Odisha, Uddhab Charan Majhi was also present.
IRMA shall be the Knowledge Partner for the Department of Co-operation to carry out research on project mode in the Co-operative Sector Organizations in Odisha.
IRMA shall design training, develop both short term and long term training and academic programs for the Co-operative Organizations.
IRMA will help out the Department of co-operation for formulation of Policies for co-operative Sector.
In fact Odisha Government is in the process of formulation of a new and progressive Co-operative Policy for the State.
IRMA will scale up training program across the State for the employees of the Department of Co-operation and other Co-operative Organizations.
IRMA will strengthen the Institute for providing training in Co-operative Sector.
IT will provide consultancy services to the Department of co-operation on Project Mode as and when there is a requirement, said a senior official.
MoU will be in force for a period of 2 years from the date of signing, said a senior official of the Department of Co-operation.
