State Restores Office Timing

Bhubaneswar: After a period of three months, the State Government has restored the timing for functioning of all of its offices.

In an order, the General Administration & Public Grievance Department has asked all departments of the State Government and subordinate offices in the State to function with full strength of employees with immediate effect until further orders.

“It is reiterated that since most of the employees are now fully vaccinated they shall mandatorily attend office regularly,” it said.

The employees who are unable to get vaccinated for medical or some other compelling reason(s), may seek exemption from attending office from the head of office, which would be considered on a case-to-case basis.

Employees who are neither vaccinated nor exempted would not be permitted to attend office and their absence will be treated as willful, the order said.

However, all the State Government Offices will remain closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays and continue to function on other Saturdays of the month.

All the precautionary measures issued by the Department to prevent spread of COVID infection will be strictly adhered to by all concerned and in case of detection of infections, prescribed protocol to be followed, it said.
