State Pacts with TBI

Bhubaneswar: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Government of Odisha and Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) on 21 July, 2023. As part of this understanding, TBI will provide advisory support to government to enable it to successfully deliver on its overall economic agenda.

The MoU was signed by the Special Secretary, E&IT Department, Manas Ranjan Panda and Vivek Agarwal, Country Director, India of Tony Blair Institute of Global Change (TBI).  

Minister of Electronics, Information Technology, Sports and Youth Services & Home, Tusharkanti Behera, Chief Secretary, Pradeep Kumar Jena, Development Commissioner, Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Deoranjan Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Finance Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary,RD, Information and Public Relations, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, E&IT, Manoj Kumar Mishra  were  present on the occasion. 

Headquartered in London, United Kingdom, TBI is helmed by Former Prime Minister of UK, Tony Blair, and greatly benefits from his vast experience, expertise, and network. It works in 45+ countries to help governments turn ideas into reality. It helps leaders by advising on strategy, policy, and delivery, and by unlocking the power of technology across all three.

Its domains of specialization include governance, foreign policy, investments, infrastructure and cities, climate and energy, and human capital. Through interventions in these areas,the organization aims to help build more open, inclusive, and prosperous societies for people everywhere.

The collaboration, a non-commercial project, involves strategy development support, delivery and implementation support, and strategic communications support. Under these support initiatives, TBI will undertake a range of activities such as current-state analysis, external benchmarking, roadmap design, capacity development, effective communication of core reforms to enhance adoption, and many others. These initiatives, coupled with TBI’s expertise in leveraging insights from various public and private stakeholders, are expected to further catalyze Odisha’s ongoing transformation.
