Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi felicitated Mangala Muduli, a Bonda tribe student of Badbel village under Khairput block of Malkangari district, who was considered eligible by NIT-2024 for MBBS course at Berhampur MKCG Medical College at Lok Seva Bhavan today.
Scheduled Tribes and Castes Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Nityananda Gond, Malkangiri MLA, Narsingh Madkami, Nabarangpur MLA, Gaurishankar Majhi, Bhatli MLA, Irasis Acharya, Director Tribal Affairs and SCSTRTI, Indramani Tripathi were prominently present during the felicitation ceremony.
The Chief Minister also presented him a laptop and honoured him for his success in entry to Medical Education.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister wished him a bright future and blessed him and said that as the first doctor of Bonda Community, study well, be a good doctor and serve the people of your area, urged Shri Majhi.
The Chief Minister further said that financial hardships give way to strong will power. A shining example of him is Mangala Muduli. He said that all kinds of support would be provided by the state government to continue Malsa’s medical course. Chief Minister Shri Majhi said that the state government will also provide assistance to the poor students of Scheduled Tribes and Castes like Mangala for their studies.
It is worth noting that Shri Muduli parents work as daily laborers in an agricultural farm. Mangala has passed H.SC from Mudulipada High School under Scheduled Tribes and Caste Development Department and has passed Plus 2 Science from Baladiaguda Higher Secondary School. He was aspired to become a doctor in the future by studying the health education and was determined to ease out health care issues of his area since his school days.
Shri Muduli is the first student from Bonda Tribe to be considered eligible for admission in MBBS course. Chief Minister Shri Majhi wished him a bright future.
